There happened to be an art-in-the-park show the day we were there. There were a lot of interesting local artists and we ended up buying a pretty picture of a pink and yellow plumeria flower. We had to go inside the art museum to pay for it as "no cash may exchange hands under the banyan tree".
Rian, though she looks otherwise, was thrilled to spend her money on a hair wrap. Holy cow, we were glad it was Grandma Thomas's treat because they charged by the inch!!
Hayden decided on a henna tattoo of a hibiscus flower.
We ate lunch at Kimo's (at the recommendation of my friend Jenny). It was extra enjoyable because of the picturesque and relaxing setting.
We were told we HAD to try the hula pie- so we did!
Everybody gave it the thumbs up and the entire plate was empty in a matter of minutes.
It ended up raining all afternoon and evening, so we enjoyed a quiet afternoon at the condo where the girls played games and I actually got to read a book! I hate to say it, but we all actually needed a "day off" from the intense sunshine!
